Dustin Johnson is in a one-horse race heading into the final round of the Northern Trust. The former major champion has his grip firmly around the leaderboard at TPC Boston, and stands to win a good chunk of the purse from the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Johnson heads into Sunday at a whopping 22 under for the week, five strokes ahead of Scottie Scheffler and Harris English second place. On Friday, it was Scheffler who wrote himself into the history books by shooting a 12-under 59, becoming the 12th player in PGA Tour history to record a sub-60 tournament round.
Of course, Johnson has been a popular final-grouping name of late. DJ won the Travelers Championship back in June and led heading into Sunday at the PGA Championship. A win today at the Northern Trust would give him 22 career PGA Tour wins.
Below is the payout information and winner’s share for the Northern Trust’s $9.5 million purse; you can catch all the action Sunday on Golf Channel beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET and continuing on CBS at 2:30 p.m. ET.
