Tiger Woods lead his team to one of the most entertaining Presidents Cup victories in recent history. Falling into a 3-1 hole early in the contest, Tiger inspired this team to fight and claw their way back during Sunday Singles, and he celebrated with a heart-warming moment with his girlfriend Erica Herman once victory was secured.

The team captain, who doubled as its best player, was hugely emotional after his win. He held back tears once the win was secured, celebrating with teammates all around him. But one of the most heartfelt moments came just afterwards, when Herman ran over to celebrate with him. They shared a long hug before walking away arm-in-arm as the crowd cheered.

A wonderful way to end a brilliant week for Tiger Woods.

Three months after Tiger Woods’ name was removed from a wrongful death lawsuit, his girlfriend, Erica Herman, has also been removed from the same suit.

According to court records from state court in Palm Beach County, Fla., Herman was voluntarily removed as a defendant in the civil lawsuit on Sept. 10. Herman being removed was first reported by ESPN.

Woods and Herman were both named in a lawsuit filed by the family of Nicholas Immesberger, who died in a single-car accident on Dec. 10, 2018. Immesberger was an employee of The Woods Jupiter, a restaurant that bears Woods’ name (which he doesn’t own but invests in, according to ESPN), and that Herman manages. The lawsuit claims that Immesberger was over-served at The Woods Jupiter the night of his death and alleges that Woods and Herman “knew [Immesberger] was suffering from the disease of alcoholism.” Immesberger had a blood alcohol content level of .256, more than three times the legal limit in Florida, when he crashed. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Herman had previously denied any wrongdoing. Woods was removed from the lawsuit in June. Woods Jupiter Inc. is still a defendant in the case. The family of Immesberger is seeking damages in excess of $15,000.

Tiger Woods has been dismissed from the wrongful death lawsuit involving a former employee of The Woods Jupiter, Woods’ South Florida restaurant.

Woods was originally named in the lawsuit by the family of Nicholas Immesberger, who died in a single-car accident on Dec. 10, 2018. Immesberger, who was 24, had a blood alcohol content level (.256) more than three times the legal limit in Florida. Also name in the suit were Erica Herman, Woods’ girlfriend, who manages at the restaurant, and The Woods Jupiter itself.

On Friday, June 21, the Immesberger family filed an amended complaint in which Woods’ name was dismissed. Herman and the restaurant, which Woods owns, are the two defendants listed in the amended complaint. Woods’ attorneys issued a press release Monday that read:

“The decision was clearly appropriate and reflected the fact that Mr. Woods should not have been included in the lawsuit in the first place because he had nothing to do with Mr. Immesberger’s death. While the situation was tragic, the facts will ultimately show that the cause of Mr. Immesberger’s car accident were the many decisions made by Mr. Immesberger on the night of his passing.”

The amended complaint re-alleges that Herman and workers at the restaurant would have known of Immesberger’s struggle with alcoholism, and that Immesberger was over-served at the bar on the night of the accident. The lawsuit remains ongoing, and the Immesberger family is seeking damages in excess of $15,000.

Woods was asked about the lawsuit during the PGA Championship in May, saying, “It was a terrible night, a terrible ending. We feel bad for him and his entire family. It’s very sad.”

Weeks later, Woods’ attorneys called for their client’s name to be dismissed from the case.

With three weeks until the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, it appears as though Tiger Woods is getting in some practice on the very course that will host the third major of the golf season next month.

The 15-time major champion was spotted walking Pebble Beach with his girlfriend, Erica Herman, on Thursday morning, during a practice round. While we don’t get to see his or Erica’s faces in the video, which was taken by Ron Read on Twitter, the clothing and walking style resemble that of the three-time U.S. Open champion.

The caddie walking with Tiger and Herman doesn’t appear to be his usual looper, Joe LaCava, but the bag has two of Tiger’s most notable features: the large Monster ad on the side of the bag and the famous Frank headcover. So, there’s little doubt it’s Tiger Woods. Take a look for yourself:

Given Tiger’s poor performance during the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, where he failed to make the cut, it might not be a bad idea for him to get some practice in at Pebble Beach. But before Tiger tees it up for the U.S. Open in June, he’ll be playing in the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio next week.

Tiger is playing just his second tournament since his win since the Masters this past April, and he has yet to win a U.S. Open since his victory at Torrey Pines in 2008. He failed to make the cut at last year’s U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.

But Tiger has played well at Pebble Beach, as he captured the 2000 U.S. Open when it was played at Pebble. It was his first U.S. Open title and third overall major. He also won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am during the same year.

Tiger Woods’ green jacket is on the move.

Five days after Woods won the 2019 Masters at Augusta National, the newly minted 15-time major champion was spotted Friday evening dining in the iconic jacket at his Jupiter, Fla., restaurant with his girlfriend Erica Herman.

Woods and Herman were at The Woods Jupiter, where Tiger wore a black hat (featuring the “Frank” headcover logo, which Woods debuted at the Masters), shorts, a long-sleeve black Nike shirt — and, yes, the fabled jacket.

A photograph of Woods and Herman was shared exclusively with GOLF.com.

Every Masters champion receives a green jacket, and there are strict rules that govern its appearances. The coat must stay on property at Augusta National, although in the year after their victories reigning champions are permitted to show off the jacket as they please.

Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, wore his jacket to MLB and NBA games, while Sergio Garcia, the 2017 Masters winner, donned his green jacket at Wimbledon.

Woods gets to keep his latest jacket in his possession until next year’s Masters, so this is likely to be the first of many public appearances for his coat over the next 359-plus days.
