The 2022 Fortinet Championship, the first event of the new 2022-23 PGA Tour season, kicks off this week at Silverado Resort in California. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Fortinet Championship preview
This season is the final wraparound PGA Tour season before major schedule changes take place in 2024, and it all gets started this week at the Fortinet Championship.
Fresh off a year that saw him double his win total and finish T5 at the Tour Championship, defending champion Max Homa is ready to try to get this year off to a similar hot start in Napa.
His chief competition includes many of the same players who challenged his lead at last year’s tournament. Among them is former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama, who finished T6 at the 2021 Fortinet. Matsuyama comes into the event tied with Homa for the best odds to win at +1400.
Other notables players teeing it up in the first event of the new season are Webb Simpson, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and Corey Conners.
Golf Channel will provide exclusive TV coverage of the Fortinet Championship, and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and NBCSports.com will stream the action online.
