Another way to see Augusta: How to get tickets to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur

The first-ever Augusta National Women’s Amateur is officially set for April of 2019. If you want a chance to see the historic event in person, Augusta is offering tickets to the public.

The event takes place April 3-6, with the top women amateurs in the world competing over two rounds at Champions Retreat Golf Club. The top 30 players will then fight for the title at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday the 6th. Their practice round is scheduled for the Friday in-between.

With the 2019 Masters beginning the following week, this is a great opportunity to see Augusta National at its best under tournament conditions.

You can apply for tickets to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur by filling out an application form here. Applications will be accepted from September 12 through September 30, 2018. Only one can be filled out per household, and the applicant must be 21 or older.

A mass of spectators passes the 6th hole during the 2015 Masters at Augusta National.

Tickets will be available for all three rounds. If you successfully acquire passes to the first two rounds, your entry will be free. Passes for the final round at Augusta National will run you $75.

As a press release for the tournament notes, “This is not a lottery contest, sweepstakes or ‘give-away’ but rather a pre-qualification for those persons wishing to purchase tickets to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship.”

Those lucky enough to have their applications accepted will be notified in mid-October about how to complete the purchase of their tickets.
