Who will take home the $3.33 million winner's check?

Moving Day at the 2024 PGA Championship is well underway, and the Wanamaker Trophy is anyone’s for the taking.

With soft conditions at Valhalla this week, birdies are plentiful and scores are low. For just the third time in major championship history, the cut came under par as the best players in the world fire at flags with reckless abandon.

Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa began the day atop the leaderboard, but there are plenty of talented chasers in their wake. Major winners litter the first page of the leaderboard with plenty of other accomplished players just behind.

As they say, to the victor goes the spoils, and this week in Kentucky is no different. Not only will the winner take home the Wanamaker trophy and a handful of exemptions, they’ll also be a whole heck of a lot richer.

The PGA of America announced Saturday that the total pure for this week’s championship is $18.5 million, with the winner receiving $3.33 million. The total purse is a million more than 2023, and $6.5 million more than 2021, while the winner’s share seeing a similar inflation during that time.
