The 2025 Masters tournament is right around the corner. The best men’s golfers in the world are getting ready to head to Augusta National for the first major of the year. But when does the tournament start? Here are the complete Masters dates for 2025.
The 2025 Masters will run from April 10-13. But there’s plenty of intrigue early in the week before the tournament begins.
Masters week officially begins Monday, April 7, with players arriving to the course (if they didn’t already get there on Sunday) and beginning to prep for the tournament.

On Tuesday, April 8, competitors will play practice rounds on the course and press conferences begin. That night, past Masters winners will sit down together for the 2025 Masters Champions dinner hosted by defending champion Scottie Scheffler.
On Wednesday, April 9, many players will take part in the popular Masters Par-3 Contest, where young kids and players’ wives and girlfriends often dress in white caddie uniforms and join their pros on the course. Finally, on Thursday, April 10, the tournament gets underway with the first round.
Heading into this year’s Masters, there are two players who top all odds as the betting favorites.
First is Scheffler, the World No. 1, who added his second Masters win last year. Scheffler missed the beginning of the season with a freak injury and has yet to win yet. But given his pedigree, oddsmakers still have him as the top favorite.
Then there’s World No. 2 Rory McIlroy. The four-time major champion has famously never won the Masters. But this year proves to be one of his best opportunities. Why? McIlroy has already won two big tournaments in 2025, and his game is looking as good as ever.
Then there’s 25-year-old Ludvig Aberg. Aberg has been a star since he joined the PGA Tour. He was also a star at the 2024 Masters, finishing runner-up behind Scheffler. Aberg secured his second-career Tour win at the 2025 Genesis Invitational in February, so he’s got a hot hand heading to Augusta.
Two LIV golfers also feature highly in odds-to-win for most betting outlets. Jon Rahm, LIV’s biggest get yet, is a two-time major champion. One of those major wins came at the 2023 Masters. So he’s expected to be in the mix this year, too.
And don’t forget about Bryson DeChambeau. DeChambeau found a renewed confidence in his game last season. All the hard work Bryson put in to regain his from paid off in June, when he won the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, stealing the title from McIlroy’s grasp in the final round. DeChambeau is also listed among the betting favorites heading into the 2025 Masters.
Finally, don’t sleep on Brooks Koepka. While he doesn’t own a Masters green jacket, Koepka has finished runner-up twice (in 2019 and 2023). He also has five major wins in his career, so he’s always a threat at the biggest events.
