One name that will draw a lot of interest from golf fans Saturday is Harold Varner III. Varner put together rounds of 63 and 66 in the first two rounds to get on top of the leaderboard at 11 under. A host of star players will be in hot pursuit on Saturday to position themselves best for the final round. A rejuvenated Jordan Spieth shot a second-straight 65 on Friday to get within one shot of Varner.

But Spieth isn’t even the most accomplished player in contention. That title unquestionably goes to World No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who will start the third round at nine under. And don’t forget Justin Rose, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele, all of whom will be in the mix on Saturday.
