Collin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth and others don’t have to worry about that pesky Open Championship cut line on Friday, but dozens in the field will want to know exactly where they stand on Friday afternoon at Royal St. George’s.

There were 156 players entered in the Open Championship field, but after 36 holes on Friday that number will be cut to the top 70 and ties. The Open doesn’t use a 10-shot rule (where players within 10 of the lead regardless of position make the cut), which is also a rule the Masters recently got rid of.

2021 Open Championship projected cut

As of 11 a.m. ET on Friday, with only a few golfers remaining to tee off, the projected cut is one over par, with 74 players at the number or better. That number is likely to move, too, just as players will shuffle in and out of the cut line.

Rory McIlroy finished even par and Rickie Fowler was one over, so they should be safe for the weekend. Recent U.S. Open winner Jon Rahm, early in his second round, is also at one over.

Tyrrell Hatton, Henrik Stenson, Marc Leishman and Keegan Bradley are among many players at two over through 36 holes. Lee Westwood (two over) and Bryson DeChambeau (four over) are also right around the cut line and early into their second rounds.

You can follow the final round here.
