The 2025 Open Championship starts this week at iconic host course Royal Portrush. If you’re hoping to watch the action on TV, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Open Championship on TV.
Where to watch the Open on TV
Typically at majors, early week TV coverage is provided by a cable channel, with a broadcast network picking up the weekend rounds. The same is true at the 2025 Open Championship.
NBC and USA will provide the TV coverage, with USA taking the reins on Thursday and Friday, in addition to early coverage on Saturday and Sunday. NBC will carry the primary broadcasts for the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
Once the action switches to the weekend, the TV coverage isn’t going anywhere. NBC kicks off their lengthy Round 3 coverage at 7 a.m. ET on Saturday, but before that USA will open the action at 5 a.m. ET. For the final round on Sunday, USA will begin their coverage at 4 a.m. ET, followed by NBC’s Sunday broadcast.
But if you want to watch early coverage on Thursday or Friday, you’ll have to watch on Peacock. Additionally, Peacock will provide featured group coverage and a Par-3 Channel all week long, along with simulcasts of Sky Sports’ coverage on Saturday and Sunday.
