Last April, English golfer Lottie Woad bested the rest of the field to win her first Augusta National Women’s Amateur title. Despite earning spots in four majors last year, Woad chose to remain an amateur.
And good thing she did. Why? Because not only did she remain eligble for the ANWA by maintaining her amateur status, but she’ll also enter the tournament as the No. 1-ranked amateur in the world.
