There are almost too many big storylines to count as the PGA Tour’s best move on to the weekend competition for the $4 million grand prize at Bay Hill.
Two former major champions — Shane Lowry and Wyndham Clark — head into the third round in first and second place, respectively. But they have plenty of company near the top of the leaderboard, many of whom have their own major trophies at home.
Rory McIlroy (four under) is looking for his second win in three starts this season. Keegan Bradley (three under) his hoping to play his way into an automatic spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team which he will captain. Collin Morikawa, Jason Day and Justin Thomas are also in the mix.
