2025 American Express odds: Xander Schauffele is betting favorite in California

Heading into the American Express, the third event of the 2025 PGA Tour season, World No. 2 Xander Schauffele leads the betting favorites with +800 odds to win.

Schauffele, of course, broke through in a big way last season, capturing two major titles to rise to his current position in the World Ranking. He kicked off this season with a T30 at the season-opening Sentry (and then lost the inaugural TGL match, along with his New York Golf Club teammates, last week).

Sungaje Im comes in second on the odds list at +1400. Two of the top American players are tied for third at +1600: Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas.

Nick Dunlap, who won last year’s American Express as an amateur, starts the week much further down the list at +4500.
