The 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open begins Thursday, March 28, with the first round at Memorial Park in Houston. You can find full Texas Children’s Houston Open tee times for the opening round at the bottom of this post.

With the world-beating hot streak he’s on right now, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler takes up much of the oxygen in any tournament he plays in, this week’s Houston Open included.

But don’t forget who the defending champion of this event is: Tony Finau. When Finau triumphed at the last Houston Open in late 2022, it was his third victory in four months. And Finau added another victory six months later at the 2023 Mexico Open, the sixth Tour win of his career.

Not Finau is back in the field hoping to win his second-straight event at Memorial Park and halt Scheffler’s string of victories.

On Thursday, Finau will tee off at 1:53 p.m. ET alongside Wyndham Clark and Si Woo Kim.

You can watch Thursday’s first round of the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open on ESPN+ with exclusive early action starting at 8:15 a.m. ET and featured group coverage all day, and on Golf Channel starting at 4 p.m. ET. Peacock will offer a simulcast of Golf Channel’s coverage.
