The PGA Tour’s Fall Series heads to Las Vegas this week for the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin, and we’re picking a three-time PGA Tour champion as our long shot. Here’s our pick, the Shriners Children’s Open odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know for the week.

Shriners Children’s Open odds: Long-shot bet

For this week’s tournament in Las Vegas, we’re picking Cameron Champ (+6600) as our primary long shot.

Champ has had a rough 2022-23 season so far. In 25 starts, he’s missed 17 cuts. That’s a startling stat for a PGA Tour veteran. But Champ has three wins to his name, and he’s starting to show signs of major progress.

After missing consecutive cuts at the Wyndham and Fortinet Championships, Champ put together an impressive performance at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship, going 67-69-65-71 to finish at 16 under, just two shots out of the five-man playoff. It was good enough for a T9 finish, his third top-10 of the season.

We’re hoping Champ can ride the positive momentum he built last week into his fourth PGA Tour victory at TPC Summerlin.

If you entrust $10 on Champ to win and he pulls it off, you’ll take home $660. For additional bets, consider putting small wagers on Champ to finish top 10 and top 20.

Shriners Children’s Open odds: The favorites

The biggest star in the field at the Shriners also tops the odds-to-win list. Tom Kim comes in as the betting favorite at +1100.

In second just behind Kim is Ludvig Aberg (+1200), who made a successful European Ryder Cup debut two weeks ago and then lost in a playoff at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Cam Davis sits in third to start the week with odds-to-win of +2000.

How last week’s long shot fared

At last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship, we took Akshay Bhatia as our long shot at +5000 to win. Bhatia got off to a great start with a 66 in Round 1, but he fell off after that, recording scores of 72-72-70 over the final three days to finish T43.

One of our honorable-mention long shots, Garrick Higgo, rode a final-round 65 to reach 12 under and earn a T16 finish, good enough for a top-20 hit.
