Ryder Cup Friday live coverage: How to watch Friday’s matches in Rome

The 2023 Ryder Cup gets underway early Friday morning, September 29, with opening day of matches at Marco Simone in Italy. Here’s what you need to know to watch Ryder Cup Friday on TV or online.

Ryder Cup Day 1 preview

Months of prognosticating are over, and the latest iteration of the Ryder Cup is set to begin on Friday outside of Rome.

A star-studded American team, who are the reigning Ryder Cup champions, are hoping to win their first Cup on European turf in 30 years. But a high-powered European team has no intentions of seeing their home winning streak come to an end this week.

Friday will feature eight matches in total across two sessions: four foursomes matches in the morning, and four four-ball matches in the afternoon.

But for American fans watching in the States, it’s more like two morning sessions, because a six-hour time difference from the East Coast means all matches will be completed by noon in New York.

USA will carry exclusive TV coverage of Friday’s matches at the Ryder Cup beginning at 1:30 a.m. ET. Fans can also stream featured match coverage online via Peacock.
