The 2023 Mexico Open gets underway Thursday with the opening round at Vidanta Vallarta. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.
Previewing Mexico Open Round 1
At this week’s Mexico Open, the star attraction is as obvious as it gets: World No. 1 Jon Rahm. Rahm is on a historic run of success so far this year, capturing four PGA Tour victories, including the 2023 Masters, the first major of the year.
The last tournament he won before the calendar turned to the new year was the 2022 Mexico Open, where he dominated for a wire-to-wire victory. Can he go for the repeat this week? The oddsmakers are bullish, putting Rahm as the prohibitive favorite with odds to win of +250.
We’ll begin to see whether the oddsmakers’ predictions are sound on Thursday, when Rahm tees off for the opening round at 9:18 a.m. ET with playing partners Emiliano Grillo and Alex Noren.
You can stream the first round of the Mexico Open via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 8:45 a.m. ET on Thursday, or you can watch the telecast on Golf Channel starting at 3:30 p.m. ET.
