With Tiger Woods‘ signature event now at the halfway point, the Big Cat improved upon his first-round 75 by showing signs of his former world-beating self on Friday, posting five birdies to ultimately sign for a round of two-under 70.
He’s currently 15th in the field of 20, but that won’t mean he’ll be lacking attention in his third round on Saturday. Other players who will be gunning for a share of the spotlight include the 36 hole co-leaders, Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth. At nine under par through two rounds, they lead the field by one shot.
Scheffler and Spieth will play in Saturday’s final pairing at 1 p.m. ET.
Woods will tee off at 11:43 a.m. ET alongside Viktor Hovland.
You can watch Saturday’s third round of the 2023 Hero World Challenge on Golf Channel starting at 12 p.m. ET, followed by NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET. Peacock will offer a simulcast of Golf Channel and NBC’s coverage.
