The official PGA Tour season may be over, but many of the stars in the game are teeing it up at Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge this week, and we’re picking Tiger as our long-shot to win in his return to competition. Here’s our pick, the Hero World Challenge odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.

Hero World Challenge odds: Long-shot bet

This week’s event features only 20 players, and all are among the best in the game. Typically this would mean there are no long shots in the field.

But with Woods making his big return to competition this week after many, many months off the course, he’s been installed at the bottom of the odds-to-win list at +5000.

That’s good enough to make him our long-shot pick of the week. Should Tiger pull off an unlikely win in his return to golf, you can turn a $10 bet into $500.

Hero World Challenge odds: The favorites

Leading the betting odds for the star-studded Hero World Challenge is Viktor Hovland, who has won the last two Hero events, at +400.

Close behind Hovland in second is Scottie Scheffler at +450, with Collin Morikawa and Max Homa tied at +750.

You can see the top 10 in Hero World Challenge betting odds as of Monday morning below, or head over to BetMGM to see the full list of odds and bets for this week.

How last week’s long shot fared

At the RSM Classic, the final PGA Tour event of the 2022-23 season, we picked Adam Schenk at +6600 to pull off a long-shot win.

Though Schenk didn’t come through with a W, he did shoot a final-round 65 to secure a T19 finish, giving us another top-20 hit, our 14th of the season in the final tournament.
