The 2022 Farmers Insurance Open begins on Wednesday, January 26, at Torrey Pines, and features the best field so far this year. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Farmers Insurance Open preview
Patrick Reed courted controversy on his way to winning last year’s Farmers Insurance Open. The former Masters champ drew ire from his fellow pros over a free embedded ball relief he received during the third round. So far, the new season has been busy for Reed, but not as fruitful as he would like, though he hasn’t missed a cut. Now Reed is back and ready to put the controversy behind him and capture PGA Tour win No. 10.
He’ll face off against stiff competition in La Jolla, including six of the Top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, among them World No. 1 Jon Rahm and No. 4 Dustin Johnson. That’s not to mention proven winners like Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson and Jason Day. The first two rounds will be split across the North and South Courses at Torrey Pines, with the South Course hosting the third and final rounds.
Live coverage of this year’s Farmers Insurance Open will be provided by Golf Channel and CBS on TV. PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will offer wall-to-wall streaming coverage online for those who prefer to stream the tournament.
