This week the PGA Tour travels to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula and historic Pebble Beach Golf Links for the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The betting odds for the tournament via BetMGM feature the PGA Tour Player and Rookie of the Year at the top, with an Australian veteran with extraordinarily long odds at the bottom. Here’s what you need to know.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds: This week’s favorites
Will Zalatoris is off to a hot start in 2022, beginning the new year with finishes of T6 and 2 in his first two starts. Surprisingly, the rising star and reigning Rookie of the Year has yet to capture a PGA Tour win. He came especially close last week at the Farmers Insurance Open, where he lost in a playoff to Luke List.
Zalatoris is no doubt hungry to get that first W under his belt, and he has another great chance to make it happen this week at Pebble Beach, and the betting odds reflect that. Zalatoris comes in at +1800 to win this week, good enough for the third-best odds. Only Daniel Berger (+1100) and reigning Player of the Year Patrick Cantlay (+650) have better odds to pull off a victory.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds: Longshot of the week
This week’s PGA Tour event has a true longshot at the bottom of the odds rankings, at least according to the odds-makers at BetMGM. PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions veteran Peter Jacobsen is in the field this week. Despite seven career PGA Tour wins, at 67 years old, Jacobsen has pretty much retired from even the senior circuit. His last PGA Tour start came at the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he went 78-75-78 to miss the cut.
Jacobsen has little to no chance of winning this week, and his odds truly account for that. So what’s the number? +1000000. That’s plus one million if you’re having trouble keeping track of all the zeros. That means if you put $100 on the Australian veteran and he somehow pulls off one of the most shocking victories in golf history, you’ll earn a cool $1 million.
Patrick Cantlay (+650) Daniel Berger (+1100) Will Zalatoris (+1800) Jason Day (+2000) Jordan Spieth (+2000) Cameron Tringale (+2500) Justin Rose (+2500) Maverick McNealy (+2800) Seamus Power (+2800) Lanto Griffin (+3300) Matt Fitzpatrick (+3300) Christiaan Bezuidenhout (+4000) Kevin Kisner (+4000) Mackenzie Hughes (+5000) Brian Harman (+5000) Mito Pereira (+5000) Ryan Palmer (+5000) Aaron Rai (+5000) Kevin Streelman (+5000) Tom Hoge (+5000)
