Notable matches for Day 2
Whether they won or lost their first matches on Wednesday, all 64 players will return on Thursday for another set of 32 matches in the round-robin stage. While a player can recover from a first-round loss, back-to-back losses will likely eliminate them from the competition.
First round tee times were moved up to work around some inclement weather, but Day 2 will begin almost two hours later. Thursday’s opening match commences at 10:30 a.m. ET and pits World No. 10 Patrick Cantlay against Carlos Ortiz. Jordan Spieth takes on Matthew Wolff at 11:25 a.m. ET, and Ryan Palmer and Sebastian Munoz will face off in the final match of the day beginning at 4:11 p.m. ET.
