This week golf fans will be treated to one of the most popular PGA Tour events all year: the 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. You can find full first round tee times at the bottom of this post.
Notable groupings for Waste Management Phoenix Open Round 1
Not long ago Brooks Koepka was the dominant player in all of golf. But a nagging injury began affecting him in late 2019 and forced him to miss several tournaments last season. All looked well upon his return last fall, where he recorded two top-10s. But Koepka’s struggles have resurfaced, causing him to miss the cut at his last three Tour events.
Koepka will try his best to get back to his winning ways this week, beginning with Thursday’s opening round at TPC Scottsdale. Koepka’s grouping for the first round features additional firepower in Rickie Fowler and Si Woo Kim, who won the American Express two weeks ago. The featured trio tees off on Thursday at 9:50 a.m. ET.
Another accomplished grouping to look out for on Thursday is the 2:00 p.m. ET starting time on the 1st tee. That group features World No. 2 Jon Rahm, World No. 3 Justin Thomas, and Sentry Tournament of Champions winner Harris English.
Other notable groupings for the opening round include Rory McIlroy, Daniel Berger and Xander Schauffele (10:00 a.m. ET); Webb Simpson, Gary Woodland and Hideki Matsuyama (2:20 p.m. ET); Louis Oosthuizen, Harold Varner III and Scottie Scheffler (1:40 p.m. ET); and Cameron Champ, Bubba Watson and Jason Day (10:10 a.m. ET).
