The first PGA Tour event of the 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs begins this week with the Northern Trust, where the Top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings will battle to survive another week. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Northern Trust preview
Dustin Johnson is hoping to end his 2020-21 PGA Tour season a lot like he did last year. Johnson won the 2020 Northern Trust, finished second at the BMW and then won the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup title. He followed that run with a win at the Masters in November, solidifying his No. 1 ranking. But things haven’t gone so well since then for the 24-time PGA Tour winner.
He’s failed to win or finish better than T8 since, losing his top ranking to Jon Rahm in the process. But Johnson hopes to turn things around and re-take the No. 1 ranking beginning this week. Johnson tees off for the opening round on Thursday at 12:44 p.m. ET with Joaquin Niemann and Stewart Cink.
You can find the full list of tee times for Thursday’s first round and Friday’s second round below, along with complete information about streaming the 2021 Northern Trust online or watching the action on TV.
