2021 Northern Trust tee times: First round groupings for Thursday

The 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs finally get underway on Thursday with the opening round of the 2021 Northern Trust at Liberty National. You can find full first round tee times for the tournament at the bottom of this post.

Notable groupings for Northern Trust Round 1

Of the many notable storylines heading into the Northern Trust and the start of the playoffs is the return of World No. 1 Jon Rahm. Rahm had victory torn from his grasps when he tested positive for Covid-19 at the Memorial Tournament and was forced to withdraw. But he did the opposite of letting the bad hand get to him, coming back to win his first major at the 2021 U.S. Open.

Unfortunately for the 26-year-old star, another positive Covid test kept him out of the Olympics and off the Tour once again. But now he’s back and ready to defend his ranking and position himself for a FedEx Cup win.

Rahm will get his tournament started on Thursday at 1:06 p.m. ET alongside Harris English and Abraham Ancer.
