The CJ Cup is coming stateside this year, finding a temporary home at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.

CJ Cup at Shadow Creek preview

Usually, the CJ Cup is played in South Korea at Nine Bridges. But after the Covid-19 pandemic struck, organizers moved the 2020 edition of the event to Shadow Creek, rather than cancelling the tournament altogether. The exclusive club was the site of The Match in 2018, where Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson faced off in a grudge match benefiting charity.

Tiger and Phil won’t be in the field this week, but one major-winning superstar will be: Brooks Koepka. Koepka hasn’t played on the PGA Tour since missing the cut at the Wyndham Championship in August. The four-time major champ has been nursing a knee injury since then, which also forced him to miss the U.S. Open at Winged Foot.

But now Koepka is back and ready to get a tune-up before next month’s Masters. But he’s not the only star teeing it up in Las Vegas this week. Defending champion Justin Thomas will attempt a repeat, and World No. 2 Jon Rahm will also be fighting for the title, along with Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Sergio Garcia. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson planned to tee it up, but was forced to withdraw on Tuesday after a positive Covid-19 test.
