Redman’s lead was snatched from him when a number of players started out hot early Sunday morning. Both Matt Jones and Wyndham Clark were three under through the first six holes at Port Royal Golf Club.
Whoever gets it done late Sunday will be treated to a hefty paycheck of $720,000 for first place. While that number might not get everyone on the PGA Tour going — many first-place prizes eclipse the million-dollar mark — it’s finishes like this one that can push a player toward regaining or maintaining full status on the PGA Tour. Every dollar counts.
This is the 2021 season, after all, and some of the most important golf is played in the fall, wrap-around season. That’s even more true this year as the Masters is just 10 days away. The best players in the world are trying to peak in November for likely the first time in their lives. You can find the entire list of payouts for the Bermuda Championship below.
