Charles Schwab Challenge betting odds: Favorites and underdogs at Colonial

May 21, 2019

With the PGA Championship complete, the Tour rolls along to the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas this week. It’s the fourth and final Tour event in the Lone Star State this season.

The defending champion Justin Rose is the odds-on favorite to win this week with 10/1 odds. The No. 3 player in the world is coming off a T29 showing at Bethpage Black this past week, and he’s still looking for his first win on Tour since the Farmers Insurance Open this past January.

The second-highest odds to win at Colonial this week belong to Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, and Jordan Spieth. Ranked No. 10 in the world, Fowler is coming off a T36 finish at the PGA Championship. His last win on Tour came at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this past February.

Rahm, who is currently ranked No. 11 in the world after failing to make the cut at the second major of the golf season, was last victorious at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last month. Spieth, who won the 2016 edition of this tournament, returns to Forth Worth after racking up a T3 finish at the PGA Championship. The No. 30 player in the world hasn’t won on Tour since 2017.

The third-highest odds this week at 16/1 belong to Francesco Molinari and Xander Schauffele. Molinari arrives to Colonial after a T48 performance on Long Island this past week, and he’s looking for his first Tour win since the Arnold Palmer Invitational this past March. Molinari is currently ranked No. 7 in the world.

Schauffele, who is currently ranked No. 9 in the world, last won on Tour this past January at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He’s coming off a T16 finish at Bethpage.
