March 5, 2019

The Florida swing of the PGA Tour continues this week with the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge just outside of Orlando. The betting favorite at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which has called Bay Hill home for 40 years since 1979, is the defending champion Rory McIlroy.

The 29-year-old McIlroy, who hasn’t won on the Tour since last year’s event, enters with 7/1 odds to win this week at Bay Hill. His last appearance on Tour came two weeks ago at the WGC-Mexico Championship, where the No. 6 player in the world finished second. The four-time major champion has earned four straight top five finishes on Tour.

World No. 2 Justin Rose enters with the second-highest odds to win this week at 10/1. The 38-year-old Rose’s last appearance on Tour was a victorious one when he came out on top at the Farmers Insurance Open this past January.

Both Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka enter this week’s event with the third-highest odds to win at 12/1. Both golfers are coming off second place finishes this past weekend at the Honda Classic. Fowler’s most recent victory on Tour came last month at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, while Koepka’s came this past October at the CJ Cup.

Rounding out the top five odds-on favorites this week at Bay Hill is Jason Day, who enters with 14/1 odds to win. The 31-year-old Day’s most recent appearance on Tour came last month at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he finished tied for fourth. His most recent PGA Tour victory came last May at the Wells Fargo Championship. The No. 11 player in the world came out on top at the 2016 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
