Major season is in the rearview for the men, but the PGA Tour season is far from over, with the 2022 3M Open set to begin this week in Minnesota. According to the 3M Open betting odds via BetMGM, the two top-ranked players in the field are also the betting favorites. Here’s what you need to know.

2022 3M Open odds: This week’s favorites

Just in case you thought pro golf season was over, there’s $7.5 million on the line this week at the 3M Open, and the oddsmakers have placed Tony Finau as the favorite to win at +1400. Finau captured his second PGA Tour win at last year’s Northern Trust, and he placed T28 at the Old Course last week. Finau also has two runner-ups since May, so he’s playing well.

Finau is not the best-ranked player in the field, however. That honor belongs to Hideki Matsuyama, who is currently ranked No. 14 (Finau is No. 17). But the 2021 Masters champion trails FInau in the odds department, with +1600 odds to take home the trophy this week.

And don’t sleep on Sahith Theegala. The rising Tour star fired a two-under 70 in the final round of the Open on Sunday to finish T34 in what his very first Open and only his third major start. The 24-year-old from Orange, Calif., comes into this week T5 in odds to win at +2500.

2022 3M Open odds: Long shot of the week

For this week’s long shot, we’re going with a familiar face to many PGA Tour fans: 30-year-old Harry Higgs. The popular Tour pro has a distinctive style all his own, which has allowed him to gain followers without registering a win in his young career.

Higgs only has one top-10 finish this season, which is why he didn’t qualify for last week’s Open. Instead, he played in the opposite-field PGA Tour event, the Barracuda Championship in California, where he finished T11.

At +15000 odds to win, should you bet $10 on Higgs and then watch him capture his first Tour victory on Sunday, you’d walk away with $1,500.
