As brand collaborations continue to rise in popularity, two of Germany’s biggest golf brands, Adidas and Vice Golf, are joining forces for a shoe project that’s been nearly two years in the making.

The Vice Golf Shoe by Adidas collaboration is designed around the sport shoe giant’s popular Boost foam-cushioning technology that was originally introduced in basketball, soccer, running and baseball footwear lines, before eventually making its way to golf in 2015 with the Adipower Sport Boost.

“We’ve had our eye on Boost technology since its inception in 2015 and immediately wanted to get that comfort and style onto the golf course,” says Vice Golf founder and CEO Ingo Duellmann. “Based in Bavaria like Adidas, we have always looked up to this global ambassador and brand that has made big moves in both the golf and footwear in recent years. It is a great honor to finally present the result of 22 months of work with tears of happiness when the final pair of shoes arrived.”

The current Ultraboost shoe technology is paired with Vice Golf’s signature lime green colorway and a gray and white “golf course camouflage” pattern on the top of the shoe. The distinctive spray paint pattern found on the cover of Vice’s recently released Drip golf balls is positioned prominently on the Boost midsole. The shoes also come with an alternate set of neon lime laces for those who want an additional pop of color.

Other Vice “branding discoverables” are situated on the shoe, including a subtle logo on the tongue and another underneath the transparent 3-strip caging on the inside of the foot. Vice’s motto (“Embrace your Vice”) runs down the spin of the heel as well.

Even the box is meant to look and feel like a Vice golf ball package. According to a release, “opening the shoe box is the exact same motion and satisfaction as opening a brand-new box of balls,” with a “drip” Vice logo and neon lime camouflage pattern covering the box. In addition to the shoes, a dozen Vice Pro Drip Lime x Adidas golf balls can be found inside the box as well.

The special Vice Golf Shoe by Adidas collaboration will be available Dec. 7 on Vice’s official website and retails for $219.95.
