Looking to add a bit of the Golden Bear’s signature flair to your on-course wardrobe? You’re in luck.

Nicklaus Companies and Boxto are collaborating to launch new Nicklaus-branded golf shoes, which will be officially unveiled at this week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

Although a relative newcomer to the market, Boxto shoes are worn by major champion Jim Furyk and Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Kurt Kitayama, among others. The brand also sponsors LPGA star Charley Hull. The company, which is headquartered in Houston, Texas, has developed a reputation for its craftsmanship and leather goods. Its products are handcrafted in Leon, Mexico, a city with a 500-year leather-making heritage.

That heritage will be evident in the new collaboration with Nicklaus, where they’ve joined forces to create golf shoes in two of Boxto’s most popular styles.

The premium Heritage Malaga has a full-grain hydro-repellent leather upper and a genuine leather and thermoplastic sole. It’s a white, wingtip shoe that showcases the Golden Bear logo in the center of the outsole.

Both styles are made from full-grain leather, are water-repellant and feature FTS 3.0 cleats by SoftSpikes.

Nicklaus Companies CEO Phil Cotton and Boxto founder Raul Flores both credited Boxto’s extreme commitment to quality and detail for bringing the relationship to life.

“Nicklaus Companies is excited to be collaborating with a brand that celebrates the traditions of the game while at the same time bringing innovation, performance and modern styling to the consumer,” Cotton said. “The premium hand-crafted, artisanal nature of their footwear is unique and aligns with our brand values. We were impressed by not only Boxto’s exquisite tour-validated shoes for both men and women, but the vision Raul and his team have for their brand.”

Boxto will also introduce a charitable component, with details to be announced later.

The Nicklaus-branded Legacy Pro will retail for $249, and the Heritage Malaga for $449. The shoes are expected to be available in April. You can find them at Boxto Golf or Fairway Jockey.
