Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.
You may recall that Adidas released a limited-edition green Stan Smith a few weeks ago during the Masters. Well, now they’ve released the OG version too.
It’s everything you know and love about the tennis-turned-streetwear sneak, but comes with a fun (removable) kilte to add vintage golf flair and has spikeless traction nubs on the outsole. These features easily allow the wearer to rock these on or off the course.
This shoe is part of Adidas’ Primegreen initiative, which means it’s made from high-performance recycled materials and has no virgin polyester. The waterproof upper is made from vegan leather, and features the signature Stan Smith perforated three stripe branding.
The shoes officially release on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET, so I’d recommend setting your alarms — these are definitely going to be a hot item.
