Scottie’s putter of choice is a TaylorMade Spider Tour X, which features true path alignment for easy setup and aim, along with a pure roll insert with small 45-degree angled grooves to promote optimal roll and faster forward roll at impact.
The Spider Tour X is the same putter style used by Rory McIlroy with the difference being the shape of the hosel, a.k.a. the neck. While Rory uses a short slant neck, Scheffler uses an L-neck, similar to the neck style he used on previous blade putters.
This neck change not only alters the amount of toe hand the putter has, but it also creates a different visual from address to help some players with additional alignment.
Now if you’re looking for Scottie’s exact putter with the L-neck, you have to go through TaylorMade’s My Spider Program, but if you’re curious about the other options, you can find them all at FairwayJockey.com.
