What else is there to say about the 2025 LIV season of Joaquin Niemann? With his win at LIV Golf UK, Niemann now has five wins in eleven events, marking it the most dominant season since LIV started in 2022.
If you want a serious deep dive into Niemann’s bag, check this out. The only change for this week was going into a new putter. Niemann changed from his PING PLD Anser into a Ping PLD DS72 Mallet. There was no real reason behind the switch. He just wasn’t happy a few weeks back and needed something different to look at.
Not to overplay the idea, but for those “normal players” out there, what probably jumps out first is that Niemann plays a 5-hybrid in place of his 4-iron. That’s because, as a low launcher of a golf ball, a 4-iron is too hard to get high enough. So instead Niemann uses a 5-hybrid to bridge the gap between his Blueprint S 5-iron and his G425 7-wood. This is for a player at 180+ ball speed with a driver.
