Our take: Not all golfers have full command of their shots, but Ping’s Blueprint irons are for those who do. The blade-style, forged-head Blueprints represent Ping’s smallest iron offering, and the heads are designed specifically for better ball strikers. Due to their compact profiles and thin toplines, these irons provide Tour players and low- handicappers with the shot-shaping capabilities they crave. One low-handicap tester explained that the Blueprint irons “help work the ball both ways on command.”

Ping Blueprint irons

The Ping Blueprint irons have been designed for golfers seeking more precision from their iron game. Fully forged from 8620 carbon steel, it’s small, muscle-back design appeals to the player who puts a premium on workability and trajectory control. Also features shorter blade lengths and sole widths optimized for a variety of conditions give golfers the control to swing with confidence.

The details: With short blade lengths, less offset and narrow soles, Ping’s Blueprint irons are the choice for high-caliber golfers such as Tony Finau and Louis Oosthuizen. The forged 8620 carbon heads have machine-milled faces and grooves, giving precise ball strikers the spin and flight control they need. Unlike other blade irons, though, the Blueprints feature a tungsten weight in the toe section to provide an extra touch of forgiveness.
