Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.
Radmor is an up-and-coming apparel brand in the golf space, but there’s one thing that really sets them apart — their commitment to sustainability. We love this shirt for its overall look, but it actually feels even better — physically and emotionally. That’s because the brand is completely ditching the standard, run-of-the-mill polyester or poly-blend fabric we’re used to seeing on the course.
When you wash a polo, shorts, etc. after a round of golf, thousands of microplastics make their way from those garments into our oceans, our soil and our food. They’ll eventually get tossed into a landfill and won’t break down.
Conversely, natural materials like bamboo, modal, cotton and lyocell are, well, natural. Radmor is committed to using more of these types of fibers, which coincidentally are extremely soft to the touch and look really good. The tie-dye pattern and funky golf-ball-peeking-out-of-a-hole logo on this style are just an added touch.
