Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.
It’s that time of year again — the leaves are yellowing, it’s dark by 7 p.m., and it’s officially time to swap out your golf shorts for pants.
As this seasonal change takes place, I’ve noticed that most men are willing to have a little fun with their golf shorts — a fun color, a subtle pattern, etc. — but when it comes to pants, you’re more likely to stick to the basics of black, grey or navy. However, this season there’s an even better way to stay neutral.
Call it what you want — army, sage, olive, dark green — these pants are having a moment. We’ve seen green pants worn on Tour by the likes of Justin Rose, Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy. Pair with a light colored top this fall and you’ll stay warm and look stylish.
