Fujikura introduces 2024 Ventus Blue shaft with Velocore Plus

Ever since its introduction to the world in 2018, the Ventus line of shafts from Fujikura — which started with the blue profile — has been one of the most popular lines of shafts on professional tours and with club fitters around the world.

What’s new

The 2024 Ventus Blue is a mid-launch/lower spin wood shaft designed with new materials to help golfers achieve improved feel, speed and consistency. At the core of the Ventus line, since its inception, is Velocore, a multi-material bias core construction that delivers ultimate stability through transition and impact.

This core is crafted with full-length, ultra-high-modulus pitch 70-ton carbon fiber, which is 150 percent stronger and more stable than T1100g, along with 40-ton bias layers to produce player-preferred feedback.

Based on the game-changing VENTUS Blue profile originally launched on global tours in 2018, the all-new 2024 VENTUS captures the same incredible player-trusted feel as the original model, with improved material integrations and layouts. The first profile to incorporate Fujikura’s newest evolution of VeloCore Technology provides players even greater overall performance results. The next generation of Fujikura’s ground-breaking proprietary key technology. VeloCore+ is a multi-material bias core construction technique that not only increases and enhances the original combination of Pitch 70 and 40 Ton materials, but incorporates an all-new third premium material to give players even tighter dispersion and increased ball speeds. VeloCore+ takes all the benefits of the original VeloCore configuration and enhances performance even further by strengthening and tightening the overall structure.

Now, after optimizing materials and Velocore in other shafts like the Ventur TR and the Axiom iron shafts, Fujikura’s engineers are ready to introduce the newest Velocore Plus in the 2024 Ventus Blue. The re-engineered multi-material bias core enhances feel and performance with an additional premium bias core material that promotes even tighter dispersion and increased ball speeds — all while not changing the overall profile of the popular shaft.

“Our Ventus technology launched on global Tours in 2018 and has been the absolute standard in wood shaft performance ever since,” Spencer Reynolds, Fujikura product and brand manager. “Now with this iteration, we set out to improve the original model by incorporating the new material and technology advancements we’ve pioneered over the last 6 years. Shaft options

The new Ventus Blue will be available in a large variety of weight and flex combinations from 52 grams up to 94 grams and from R2 to X-flex.

Price and availability

Fujikura’s Ventus Blue with Velocore Plus retails for $350 and will be available at Fujikura charter dealers as well as through select OEM custom programs starting February 29th.
