Golf is hard — physically, emotionally and mentally. Just ask Steph Curry and Max Homa, they’ll agree.
If your game resembles mine — with a couple of good holes sprinkled into a mess of unpredictable shots — you know how frustrating the game can be. What’s worse, the more frustrated I get, the worse I play. It’s a vicious cycle.
With all the frustration that can join a typical round, it can be hard to keep your cool. But over the years, I’ve learned staying relaxed and zen on the course really helps. Here are a few simple solutions that help me stay loose and have more fun on the course.
If I want to play well, I need to feel nice and loose. That’s where a Theragun mini comes in. It fits right in my bag, so I can use it on the range before I start hitting balls and can whip it out if I’m feeling extra crunchy on the course.
My secret weapon for staying calm in the face of yet another fried-egg lie in a bunker or three-putt is CBD oil. Like Phil Mickelson, I enjoy adding a few drops to my coffee to drink throughout my round. If you aren’t a caffeine addict, MedTerra’s CBD products come in the form of gummies or you can chew gum like Tiger during the final round of the 2019 Masters.
