PXG 0811 X Proto

0811 X Proto: 9°; 0811 X+ Proto: 10.5°, 12°

Our take: Thanks to the warm hearts at PXG, they’ve made a Tour-only driver available to us mortals. The 0811 X Proto and 0811 X+ Proto both feature four adjustable weight ports and adjustable hosels for total customization and have a matte black finish that, if you pay any attention to high-tech gadgetry these days, is the color and finish du jour. Our testers agreed, with one claiming, “I love the matte black,” and another saying, “The flight with these drivers is awesome, and I love the sound and feel.”

PXG 0811 X Proto Driver

The PXG 0811X Prototype Driver is a low center of gravity and low spin option. It was engineered for players with either level or downward attack angles. This driver has 4 weight ports for adjustment along with hosel adjust-ability for loft as well.

The details: Both 0811 X Proto drivers come with the aforementioned adjustable weight ports and hosels, and both feature a high-performance anti-glare finish. Additional features include a hybrid crown construction, a honeycomb TPE sole insert and a high-speed face — tons of tech, we assure you. The 0811 X is tuned for golfers with downward attack angles, and the 0811 X+ is geared for players with ascending attack angles.
