Nike Golf announces limited-supply release of three Nike Air Max 1 G NRG golf shoes

November 29, 2019

The newest from Nike Golf has arrived. On Friday the brand announced a limited-supply release of Nike’s Tour Reserve Air Max 1 Gs — the Nike Air Max 1 G NRG Snakeskin, the Nike Air Max 1 G NRG No Denim Allowed and the Nike Air Max 1 G NRG Safari Bred.

All three golf shoes will be available on Nike.com and select retailers. (Click here to check them out.) The Snakeskin models went on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, and the other two models go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Monday. All three shoes retail for $140 each.

Pros wore the Safari shoes at last year’s PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, and they wore the No Denim Allowed models at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.

According to Nike, the design on the Nike Air Max 1 G NRG Snakeskin gives the shoe a “competitive attitude,” and the Safari Bred print had two main sources of inspiration: Nike’s iconic Safari print and the Jordan Brand’s most famous color scheme.

The No Denim Allowed shoes are a tongue-in-cheek rebuttal to traditional golf course dress codes. The patterns on the plate and sockliner represent California wildflowers, and two other features are a hat tip to the U.S. Open and Pebble Beach — a wave pattern as a nod to the coastal environment of Pebble, and a centennial symbol on the back of the shoe marking the 100th anniversary of the latest U.S. Open venue.

All three Nike golf shoes are available in colorsways usually only available to Tour players. You can find out more about these shoes right here on Nike.com, and you can also become a NikePlus account number to improve your chances to snagging one of these hot commodities.
