One of the newest shoe brands in the golf space now has its first collaborative collection with a major-winning pro golfer.
Even more is planned for the future, too.
On Friday, Payntr Golf unveiled a limited-release of the Eighty Seven SC, which product engineers worked closely with former World No. 1 Jason Day for over 10 months to develop. The significance of the “87” in the name — which is subtly incorporated throughout the design — is Day’s birth year and also his favorite number.
“Our goal has always been to create a true performance advantage for golfers without sacrificing style or comfort,” Day said in the release, “and I truly believe we’ve achieved that with the Eighty-Seven SC.”
Day wore a prototype of the shoe during the 2024 season as they fine-tuned details on it. The Eighty-Seven SC is waterproof, breathable and built for maximum comfort with a performance-foam filler and PMX Nitro+ injected 3D-molded footbed.
“Jason has brought a fresh perspective and invaluable insights to this collaboration,” said Mike Forsey, the co-founder and president of Payntr Golf. “His expertise and passion for the game are evident in every aspect of the Eighty Seven SC. This is more than just a golf shoe — it’s a game-changer that will raise the bar for what golfers can expect from their footwear.”
Payntr and Day plan to release three more models to this collection in 2025.
The Payntr Eighty Seven SC is available now and will retail for $220. To view more pictures or buy your own, click on the link below. To view more shoes from Payntr Golf, click here.
