It’s a jam-packed leaderboard at the Genesis Scottish Open, with many of the best players in the world duking it out at Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. PGA Tour phenom Ludvig Aberg held a two-shot lead to begin the day, but with the wind whipping in East Lothian, the field has hovered in place most of Sunday’s final round.
There’s Adam Scott, 43 years young, trying to win for the first time in more than four years. His last victory came at the 2020 Genesis Invitational, when the world was on the brink of being shut down for the Covid pandemic.
There’s Bob MacIntyre, the Scottish man in contention at the Scottish Open, trying to get redemption for his solo second place finish a year ago.
Three spots in next week’s Open Championship are on the line as well, in addition to the winner’s check, which nets out to $1.575 million. The runner-up will enjoy a modest $985,000.
