The 2023 Wells Fargo Championship kicks off Thursday morning with the opening round at Quail Hollow. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.
Previewing Wells Fargo Round 1
Max Homa has six PGA Tour titles to his name. A full third of them have come at the Wells Fargo Championship. The 32-year-old star defeated a trio of chasers by two strokes to capture his second Wells Fargo Championship title last year. (That one was at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, but now the tournament is back to its regular venue at Quail Hollow Club.) Since then, he’s captured two more wins at the Fortinet Championship and the Farmers Insurance Open.
Now Homa will try to go back-to-back, except this time the prize money he’s playing for is far greater than last year. As a designated event, the Wells Fargo offers a total purse of $20 million.
