On the driving range or a course’s signature hole, I promise you’ll find me having this exact conversation: “Excuse me, could I bother you to take a swing video?”
Once is acceptable, but if something looks off and requires a tweak, I will want another video. And I’m not the only one.
During every golf lesson, instructors will take a video so you can see what they’re talking about. Lessons are expensive, and you can’t always practice with a pro. For the times you’re hitting balls on your own but want to self correct, GPOD has your back.
I used to fumble around with a tripod, loosening and tightening the inconvenient screws. But when I found out that the GPOD could slip right into my golf bag, I made the switch.
I confused the product for an alignment stick at first – that’s how light it was. The carbon fiber shaft has a sharp end that creates a stable foundation when you stick it in the ground. If you already carry alignment sticks in your bag, GPOD offers a mini version that clips right onto them.

At the top, the full-sized GPOD has a magnetic mount that moves in every direction. The 360 degree adjustability not only allows you to film swings down-the-line, but you can also look at your putting stroke from a bird’s eye.
Setup couldn’t be easier. You attach a thin metal sticker to the back of your phone and the magnet holds the mount very tightly. If you already have a car vent magnetic mount, it will work for that too!
