Despite the strangeness of this pandemic year, some of Brittany Lincicome's favorite Thanksgiving traditions remain intact.

The Covid-19 pandemic has upended our lives for the last nine-plus months, and LPGA players are no exception. With the holidays at last upon us, three of the top players in the women’s game shared their Thanksgiving plans with the LPGA Women’s Network.
For World No. 8 Minjee Lee, an Australian, this year’s holiday will be a first in a couple of different ways. “I’ve never really been in the U.S. for Thanksgiving, so this will be my first time,” she said. “I think I’m going to have Thanksgiving with my housing in Texas; they’re like my away-from-home parents. I don’t think we have an equivalent in Australia. There’s a Korean Thanksgiving. All the food that they make for that time of the year is, like, amazing. I love it.”
Two-time major winner Brittany Lincicome is looking forward to a non-traditional Thanksgiving Day entree — her mom’s meatloaf.
“My favorite Thanksgiving food is the corn casserole. It’s like this cornbread kind of thing,” Lincicome told the LPGA Women’s Network. “It’s delicious! This year, since my mom is cooking, she’s adding a meatloaf to it. I freaking love my mom’s meatloaf, so we’re going to do the traditional turkey and ham, but she’s going to add a small meatloaf in there for me.”
LPGA Drive On champion Ally McDonald enjoys a double Thanksgiving with her family. “We do lunch with my mom’s side of the family, dinner with my dad’s side of the family, and that’s just kind of been what we’ve always done,” she said. “One thing I’m really adamant about is no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. It has to be post-Thanksgiving for me to listen to Christmas music. I’m just enjoying Thanksgiving and the holiday I celebrate with my family. I don’t want to bypass it and go straight to Christmas.”
Despite the many different ways these players plan on celebrating Thanksgiving, they all share one thing in common: it sounds like they’ll be eating very well.
