Viewer’s guide: CJ Cup TV schedule, tee times and purse

October 16, 2018

Two of the top five players in the world headline the field at the PGA Tour’s third event of the season (yes, we’re already on No. 3): the CJ Cup.

Staged at the Club at Nine Bridges in South Korea, the CJ Cup features World No. 3 Brooks Koepka and No. 4 Justin Thomas paired together. Thomas is the defending champion of the event, while Koepka was recently named PGA Tour Player of the Year for 2017-18, no surprise after his wins at the U.S. Open and PGA Championship.

Koepka last played at the Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews, while Thomas participated in the CIMB Classic last weekend in Malaysia.

So, get ready for some prime-time golf. The duo will be joined by Sungjae Im of South Korea, and they’ll tee off in their first round at 7:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday night. Their second round will start at 8:15 p.m. ET on Thursday.

More marquee groups: World No. 12 Jason Day, No. 21 Hideki Matsuyama, and No. 41 Adam Scott will tee off at 8:25 p.m. ET on Wednesday; No. 24 Marc Leishman, Ernie Els, and Si Woo Kim will  start at 8:15 p.m. ET. No. 19 Xander Schauffele, Kevin Tway, and Austin Cook  will start at 8:35 p.m. ET.

Other notable names in the field: No. 19 Alex Noren, No. 20 Paul Casey, and No. 23 Tyrell Hatton.

At last year’s event, Thomas defeated Leishman with a birdie on the second hole of sudden death to capture the title.
