Anonymous Player Poll: An overwhelming majority of pros believe Tiger will win another major

September 6, 2018

Tiger Woods has proven he can still contend on the PGA Tour, with five top-10 finishes and only two missed cuts in 16 events this year, and he memorably capped his major season with a thrilling charge up the leaderboard at Bellerive on Sunday afternoon at the PGA Championship.

Unfortunately for Woods, he has yet to find his way into the winner’s circle, though he’s been close, with two runner-up finishes. His last win was the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2013.

Apparently, Tiger’s peers on the PGA Tour have seen all they need to see. As part of our newly published Anonymous Pro Survey, which you can find in the October Issue of GOLF, a resounding 98% of Tour pros surveyed said that they believe he will win another Tour event.

Tiger’s 2018 play has impressed his PGA Tour peers.

“F— yeah!” enthused one Tour pro.

When pressed on whether Woods could win another major, the response was nearly as strong, with 90% of the respondents saying they believe it will happen.

“A year ago: no way,” admitted one player. “Now: no doubt.”
