Jack's Bay
How do you make golf in paradise even better?
Add a goat. Or rather, the GOAT.
Jack’s Bay, an exclusive club and residential community in the Bahamas that already is home to a 10-hole short course by Tiger Woods, broke ground Wednesday on a first-of-its-kind offering: a Nicklaus Heritage® course design.
Nicklaus Heritage®, a brand born from Nicklaus Design’s Jack Nicklaus Signature® brand, is comprised of senior designers from Nicklaus Design. Those designers, who have worked with Nicklaus throughout their careers and share his design philosophies and values, will build original course designs under the Nicklaus Heritage brand, beginning with the project at Jack’s Bay, on the island of Eleuthera.
The diverse property features rolling terrain, elevation changes, lakes and caves, and will have several holes that play along the ocean.
“What Mother Nature has provided us is rare, and we plan to preserve the natural integrity and enhance the beauty of the island,” said Chad Goetz, senior design associate at Nicklaus Design, who will oversee all aspects of the design process from on site.

With the completion of the Nicklaus Heritage® course (slated for 2025), the four-mile stretch of oceanfront property where Jack’s Bay is located will also enjoy a new real-estate designation as the first Nicklaus Community in the Caribbean.
The development’s other course — The Playground, by Woods and TGR Design — opened in August 2020 and features an inventive, fun-for-all-abilities layout with 10 holes that range from 71 to 163 yards. When the Nicklaus Heritage® championship course debuts, Jack’s Bay will be the first property to feature an 18-hole course by Nicklaus Design coupled with a Tiger Woods and TGR Design.
“Jack’s Bay is destined to become the next great family destination and draw people from all over the world to Eleuthera,” Woods said. “The future is bright for Jack’s Bay.”
Twenty-four homesites in Founder’s Row, a prime stretch of beachfront and ocean view property, will soon be available for purchase for between $1 and $3 million. Other homeowner perks at Jack’s Bay include a marina, sports complex, spa village, beach club, tennis, fitness and wellness program and multiple dining venues.
“With the history of the island, stunning ocean views for golf and real estate, and access to world-class fishing and other amenities, Jack’s Bay rivals any destination in the Bahamas,” said Howard Milstein, executive chairman of the Nicklaus Companies. “Nicklaus Design is proud to have been selected to create a world-class golf course on this property.”
