Resort of the Week: Omni La Costa Resort & Spa (Carlsbad, Calif.)

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa was built on a former equestrian ranch in Southern California and has been a go-to destination for golfers since it opened in 1965. While the resort is great for families — there are two 100-foot water slides, a game lounge, s’mores roasting and more — it’s also a fantastic option for your annual buddies trip. You and your pals can play on the same courses that crowned Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson tournament champions. Both the Champions Course and Legends Course are challenging tests, and their Wow Factors will make you come back for more. Coming back for seconds shouldn’t be a problem — there are more than 600 rooms at the sprawling property.
